Summit County is alive with a wide variety of music performances of all genres, along with myriad other creative entertainment options for music, art, and theater lovers.

Or, if you feel like trying your hand at creating your own art, both Breckenridge and Keystone offer Ready Paint Fire do-it-yourself art studios where the whole family can produce unique works of art on painted canvas, mosaics and pottery. Instructors are on hand to help and coach you every step of the way, and all materials are provided.

Upcoming Music and Arts Events in Nearby Breckenridge

Breckenridge hosts a wide variety of arts and music activities, including unique theatre events and exhibitions for every interest and taste.

Through March 8 – Breckenridge Theater presents Women of Watercolor. This is a juried exhibition of watercolor artworks signifying lifestyles and scenes of Summit County. The exhibition is available for viewing within the theatre.

Through March 8 – Breckenridge Old Masonic Hall offers Forma Futura, an interactive exhibition by Jennifer Ghormley and Jodi Stuart. This mixed media presentation invites visitors to step into the work, where shapes and colors combine to entice viewers.

Through March 18 – Don’t miss The Toxic Avenger, presented at the Breckenridge Theater. This production is winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, with all the elements of a love story combined with incredible music and hilarious comedy. Fantastic lighting, scenery, and costumes make this a production you won’t soon forget.

March 3 – Riverwalk Center hosts the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. This is a touring collection of some of the most inspiring adventure and action films shown at the famed film festival.

March 4 – Get ready to rock, roll, and sing along with ‘The Long Run’ Eagles tribute band at the Riverwalk Center.

March 11-Apr 12 – Here and There – an exhibition by Eric Drigo at Breckenridge Theater. This is a contemporary pop culture exhibit incorporating visions, dreamscapes, and travels.

March 24-Apr 9 – School of Rock – This youth production featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber is presented at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge. Based on the popular cult film, it tells the story of a slacker determined to transform high-performing students into a contest-winning, raucous rock band.

April 4 – Poet Kathleen Willard reads from her works at the Old Masonic Hall presenting Cirque & Sky. This award-winning work tells the story of exploitation and beauty of the Rocky Mountain West. A reception follows the reading.

April 5 – Have an artistic flair? Come to the Adult Coloring Night at the Old Masonic Hall. Adult coloring pages and coloring instruments will be available to show your skills.
